Features & Fixes Details
New main menu
OpsAdmin has an improved Main Menu. This change is the first step in a series of usability improvements we plan to add in the coming months.
The first difference is that we have rearranged and renamed the menu options. We understand that these changes can be annoying at first, but we believe that this new distribution makes more sense and will help discover the system functionality. As always we are open to suggestions that we can use to improve the system.
Below we will list the new menu structure; if the option has a new name, the old one will be presented in parenthesis for reference.

Also with the new menu it’s now possible to place it to the left of the screen and collapse it with the arrow on top, next to the OpsAdmin logo.
To change its position, use the Toggle Menu option in the user menu. Currently, this configuration is stored in the browser only, but in upcoming releases this and future options will be stored online so the experience remains consistent across other devices.
The minimum supported resolution is still 1366 x 768 px and the menu will change its presentation slightly depending on the resolution to fit all the available options.
One final improvement is that the menu will correctly show or hide the options based on the user roles. Previously there were several options that would remain visible even if the user had no access to the screen (an error would be presented trying to access it).
Roles naming improvement
Over the past few months we’ve been updating the roles names and adjusting some that were no longer needed, missing or misused. With this release we completed this process, although some minor and more focused changes will keep coming in the near future.
We won’t list all the renamed roles since it’s just a description change, but below are listed the roles that have been removed or added. Added roles will be automatically associated with every role group to maintain the same access level. The removed roles were duplicated or no longer used, but we suggest reviewing them:

Removed Sub_Menu_Forbidden_Emails, Sub_Menu_Billing_System_Values, Sub_Menu_Importer_Manager, Drop Management: Export Queues To Excel, Export Drop History to Excel, Zip Codes --> Zip Codes Group --> List, Zip Codes --> Zip Codes Group --> List and Sub Menu Acceptance Options roles since they are no longer used or redundant with other narrower roles.

Added Reprint Documents: Access, Global Dispositions: Access and Blocked LDC / ESIID Numbers: View. By default these roles are assigned to every role group to maintain the current configuration.
